達悟族人在拜訪耆老時，習俗上會帶上一把小米跟魚乾做為見面禮。

訪客說：這是我帶來，微不足道的禮物，請您收下。

耆老回：你帶來的禮物，會是我心裡永遠的精神泉源。

這就是心意阿！

In Orchid Island of Taiwan lives the aboriginal Dawu people. Traditionally, people would bring a bundle of millet and dried fish as a greeting gift when visiting one-another. 

Visitor: Please accept my negligible gift.

Housemaster: The gift you bring will remain a living spring in my mind.
